Black History Month: She Never Forgot Her Crown👑
Hey Curlies,✨ It is STILL Black History Month! I want to say that I celebrate Black History Month ALL year long. I love my Black people and our culture is levitating. We have overcome so much as a people and continue to take up space in all areas. I feel inspired when I hear a Black woman with a similar story as mine. In the US it has always been challenging to be a black person. Some of us even make ourselves small only to hope we can be viewed as equal human beings. When I graduated from college in Winter 2024 I attended a Black Graduation celebration. I was given a special stole for attending the Black Graduation and one professor really uplifted me. She told us to close our eyes and think of all the challenges and blessings we have faced. As my eyes were closed tears came down my eyes because I had a hard year.
