Don't Forget to Oil & Moisturize✨

Hey Curlies,

Happy Friday everyone this week has been chaotic for me dealing with future decisions. Just know for every goal or dream you want to accomplish there is always a polarity, an opposing side that will make sure you do not accomplish what you are set here to do.😁 Just know I am fighting the good fight!✊

Enough of that lets get into tonight's Blog post: Don't Forget to Oil & Moisturize! Having moisture in your hair is important for both low and high porosity hair types. Having little to no moisture can cause hair breakage, dry scalp, and dandruff. Also unhealthy hair can be due to lack of nutrients such as biotin and collagen. Using oil & moisturizing your hair is important to create healthy hair growth. My go to for restoring my scalp's natural oil is a hot oil treatment.

A hot oil treatment is when you are using a moisturizing oil (not a sealing oil) to oil your scalp. A hot oil treatment is when you heat the oil at an appropriate temperature to avoid severely burning your scalp. Once the oil is warm you then part your hair continuously in multiple sections and pour the oil on your scalp. When the oil is in those sections massage your scalp. Use the rest of the oil on the ends of your hair and coat your hair with it. Apply a shower cap to hold in the moisture. It is optional to apply heat for 10 to 15 minutes. For best results you will want to shampoo first, then apply hot oil treatment. Lastly use a conditioner.

In the comments section let me know if you use hot oil treatments to oil & moisturize your hair. Also what are your favorite products to oil and moisturize you hair & why?
