I hope everyone is having an amazing and productive week! I'm soooo excited for this month. June 1, 2024 I attended the 1000 Girls Leading Event in Bridgeport, CT. It was amazing and empowering. I saw the gworls enjoying themselves building charm bracelets, tie dye bandanas, dancing, and double dutch. My daughter and I really enjoyed it. I recommend taking your daughter.💗 Lately I've been going to amazing events. I have exciting news Natural Divinity Products is in another pop up shop! This time it is in Naugatuck, CT. I would love for you to attend if you are in the area. I will have a special sale for local clients.

Juneteenth is coming up 6/19/2024! It is important to know the history of Juneteenth, it is the date of the emancipation of Black enslaved people in the U.S. I feel Juneteenth is important because, many people have learn about America's painful history. Anyone can celebrate Juneteenth here are some things you can do to celebrate:

1-Cookout🌞: Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Serve up a good meal with family and friends. You deserve to have a tasty meal. Black people long for togetherness. Good food always can help create a good mood. Enjoy!

2-Attend a Juneteenth Event: There are plenty local events in museums, libraries, and amusement parks for Juneteenth. Enjoy time with the family to help celebrate this historical day. Make sure it is educational and helps you learn more about Juneteenth.

3-Play some "feel good" music: Whether it is freedom songs or feel good songs, music is the heart of Black people. Play some good music to create the vibe. 

4-Fireworks/Decorate: Enjoy the view with fireworks 🎆🎇 Light up the night in memory of all the enslaved people that would have dreamed to view the very moment of being free. Decorate with flags in memory of Juneteenth. You can also find free pictures online as well.

5-Support Black Owned Businesses: Black Owned Businesses need your support! Help out any business in need. Purchase a good or service in memory of Juneteenth. Generational wealth can only occur if people help out one another. Do not stop supporting black owned businesses. According to Bankrate.com in 2023 the Small Business Adminstration (SBA) gave only 3.6% Black business owners business loans. The top was for White business owners at 54.5%. I hope one day that number will change and POC had the lowest percentage from White Business owners (Bankrate.com). This is why supporting Black owned businesses is so important.  

I hope these are good ways for you to safely enjoy Juneteenth. Remember to spread love 🖤 where ever you go. I hope you all will have a good Juneteenth!

  Hey Curlies,✨ I hope you all had a productive week. This week is very steady for me and challenging with ongoing demands. This week's blog post I wanted to talk about technology and mental health. I know there are so many articles about how bad technology is for your mental health. I want to talk about the good and bad. Since my Facebook account was hacked in 2023 I have had less Facebook friends. It has also been nearly impossible to keep track of old clients. This has left a little hardship on me as a business owner and my personal life. The good I have noticed is I have lessen some of my death scrolling and internet use.
