Reclaim Your Sound...

It's another Natural Divinity Products Blogspot post! These past few weeks I've been in my head and handling all the current news. As mentioned in my Monday motivation sometimes I have to step back from the world no matter how bad it gets. I am only one being and I understand I must change from within. 😊 Tonight's blogspot post focuses on the journey I have ahead and new self discovery. 

Reclaim Your Sound
Too long I've been complacent and traditional. I have experienced loss after loss with Natural Divinity Products. I lost my Natural Divinity Products facebook page and Natural Divinity Products website provider. I am understanding now is the time to reclaim my sound. It's time to envision my gift to the world and formulate. Reclaiming your sound doesn't always have to be considered a bad thing. It can be a new opportunity to provide new possibilities. It will take time in which I am willing to see it through. 


Sound
The Oxford dictionary definition of sound is, "vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a person's or animal's ear". You must first understand how powerful YOUR sound is. Your sound resonates with individuals that are interested in what you bring to the world. Reclaiming your sound allows your voice to be heard and seen exclusively. Your sound may not be for some but your supporters will thank you. Revamping a business can help make your sound louder, bigger, and stronger so that you can increase your clientele. 

Reclaiming Your Sound Journey
The journey to reclaim your sound may be long and lengthy. Try to understand you have time. Nothing great took a couple of days. It was calculated and faced many trials and errors. This is a journey not a race. I am understanding as a businessowner, that I must revisit the drawing board to strengthen or improve my message.💡

🎤 Reclaiming My Sound 
They told me to quiet down.
Smooth the edges.
Round out the syllables.
Make my message easier to swallow—
for rooms that were never built for my sound.

But my sound is not meant to be tamed.
It carries the hum of my grandmothers' prayers,
the fire of streets named after freedom fighters,
the rhythm of braids, of bass, of being Black and brilliant.
My sound is legacy.
And legacy don’t whisper.

See, in business, they want polish,
but I bring presence.
They ask for strategy,
I show up with soul.
They want brand decks and buzzwords—
I’m offering truth.
And truth don't shrink itself to fit inside PowerPoint slides.

I am not an echo.
I am the origin.
The idea. The instinct. The innovation.

When I speak, I speak for the versions of me
who once thought she had to code-switch to climb,
shrink to succeed, or silence herself to stay safe.
No more.

Reclaiming my sound
means building boardrooms where my voice doesn’t need translation.
It means showing up in color, in cadence,
in culture—unfiltered, unbothered,
unapologetically me.

This is for the Black woman CEO,
the side-hustling single mama,
the visionary with a voice like thunder.
You don’t need permission to be powerful.
You are the blueprint. The brilliance. The brand.

So speak, sis.
Speak with your whole chest.
Let your sound shake systems.
Let your presence make policy.
Let your business be the revolution
they didn’t see coming—
because it showed up sounding like you.

June 1, 2024 I attended the 1000 Girls Leading Event in Bridgeport, CT. It was amazing and empowering.   Hey Curlies,✨ I hope you all had a productive week. This week is very steady for me and challenging with ongoing demands. This week's blog post I wanted to talk about technology and mental health. I know there are so many articles about how bad technology is for your mental health. I want to talk about the good and bad. Since my Facebook account was hacked in 2023 I have had less Facebook friends. It has also been nearly impossible to keep track of old clients. This has left a little hardship on me as a business owner and my personal life. The good I have noticed is I have lessen some of my death scrolling and internet use.
