Tips to Create Work-Life Balance✨
Hey Curlies✨
I am hoping you all are having a productive week. Back to School Season is officially in full effect! I am planning to work on my son and daughter hair this weekend. I have Natural Divinity Products waiting patiently to give them the best hair experience they've have ever had!😊 I'm not sure if you know but I am a constant busy bee. I have added gym back into my life which has given me the energy to survive a lot of things. Overtime it is essential to create a work-life balance for yourself. Now let's get into it!
This week's Blog is titled: Tips to Create Work-Life Balance. Work-Life Balance is important for me because I am a fiancé, mom, small business owner, mental health worker, gym goer, crochet queen, & so much more. I am a woman of many trades but I love to keep it that way. Lately my profession has been stressful, toxic, and unbearable. I am hoping to find a profession in the future that will be a 9 to 5. I miss my family and being able to work on my hair care products during the weekdays. Since I have this imbalance it has made it hard for me to set boundaries at work and focus on my personal life. I literally get calls and texts from work like I own the company. In order to create a work-life balance I will have to put myself first. Here are some tips I plan to use to create a better work-life balance:
1. SET THOSE BOUNDARIES: You are worthy, important, and worth understanding. In order to have a healthy work-life balance you need to understand you are not your job. You are literally doing the best you can. Unless you own the company and have a profit share you should minimize answering your phone for business related calls. Your coworkers and boss will see you the next working business day. As a mother you have to set boundaries with your significant other(s). Let them know you need time to recharge. They will understand if they love you.
2. Life will always be MORE important than work. Remind yourself what activities you enjoyed and what places you love to visit. In order to create that balance you must experience what it is like to live life!💗
3. Create a schedule & use a planner. My planner is my mini bible. It holds a lot of things and important dates that my mind cannot carry. A schedule list or planner will help your work-life balance become a way of life. You will also remember to add in break times and extra time to relax yourself. Be sure to write down the times you have for each task including work. It's better to see your day to day activities on a bigger scale.
4. Try it out for at least ONE month. Test your progress see if these tips will help your work-life balance. Notice how you feel on a weekly basis when going through work and life. Let me know in the comments if this will help you!
