If no one has told you, know you are loved. You are here for a reason. Tonight's Blogpost is Love Language Hair Affection. You may wonder what is hair affection?! It is the affection you show your hair. This affection can be done by you or your partner. Here are my top 3 ideas of hair affection. 1. Rubbing or gently massaging the scalp 2. Playing with the hair in sections (combing or brushing through hair optional) 3. Making the hair your personal pillow.                                              In Hair Affection 1. Black Women & Headwraps

Image
Hey Curlies,               Happy Black History Month! I'm excited for this month it is also my birthday month and Vday. Tonight's Natural Divinity Products Blogspot Topic is to honor and celebrate Black History Month. Tonight's topic is Black Women & Headwraps. A lot of women wear headwraps and it is a go to for curly head girls. We want our hair protected or maybe we are securing our hair for a "take down" style. What ever reason why Black Women use headwraps is their own preference and prerogative. In the 1700's Black enslaved women were forced to wear headwraps.  It also has been said that slave owners wanted Black women to wear headwraps so that they look less promiscuous to white people.  Headwraps during that time were seen as a subservience. During the 1700's in Louisiana the Governor passed a law that required black women to wear their hair in a bandana. The symbolism of headwraps changed from ...

Hey Curlies✨     I'm Lisa Pettway the proud owner of Natural Divinity Products Hair Care for the Soul. Welcome to my blogspot! Tonight's blog topic is Afrofuturism: For Hair that is Timeless. Since the year 2020 the future has been heavy on my mind. I notice the changes from electric cars to AI to biotechnological advancements in health and learning. We all know change is inevitable and is bound to happen. We simply do not know how we play a major part in technology advancement.      Afrofuturism is very dear to me, because I believe most Black people see themselves in the future. This belief in return creates a clear canvas for Black people to envision their wildest creative dreams. Today in 2024 we see Afroturism in Facebook Reels, TikToks, Live Streaming, and more. On TikTok I recommend watching Ava Marie who is the Afro Goddess that changes her hair into different shapes that look out of this world! I am loving the Afrofuturistic hair movement, because it gi...
